The decision to sell the land was passed at a council meeting on Tuesday, June 15, in which it was the only non-confidential agenda item.
The 83.3ha of council-owned land is located at the Wimmera Agriculture and Logistics Hub, formerly the Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal.
At the April 26 meeting, the council resolved to publicly advertise its intention to sell the land, and saw no submissions towards the matter.
Mayor Robyn Gulline said the demand for industrial land was increasing.
"It's really important we get those plots ready for sale, so they can be sold on to our investors as soon as practicable," she said.
"Once they are sold, the money can be reinvested to develop the next land for sale."
