However, the statistic show mixed results of considerable increases to declines of crimes recorded.
The Crime Statistics Agency released the new data on Thursday, June 17, in which the crime statistics for the period from March 31, 2020, to March 31, 2021.
The most common types of crime are around Breaches of family Violence orders and crime committed are most likely to be committed in a house.

Horsham Rural City Council
In the Horsham municipality, recorded offences have risen almost 30 per cent since last year.
There were 2593 offences recorded, compared to 2036 registered in the previous year.
The highest offence is the Breach of Family Violence order (722), and the most common location for violations to occur is in the home (1315).
The second most common location was streets, lanes or footpaths, with 362 offences recorded.
In positive news, drug possession offences decreased with 117 recorded crimes this year, down from 133 last year.
Crimes at services stations also decreased by 15. This year's statistics revealed 38 offences recorded, whereas, in 2020, there were 53.
Hindmarsh LGA
There was a significant increase in offences recorded for the Hindmarsh municipality, which saw a 61.6 per cent increase in recorded crimes. From 349 crime recorded in the previous year to 564.
The highest recorded offence was the Breach of Family Violence order which jumped from 26 to 154 in the last 12 months.
Again, the most common location for crimes recorded was the home, with 277 crime recorded occurring in houses.
Crime recorded dropped in the Rainbow area, from 18 to 12 in the past year.
The sub-category of Other Thefts also dropped from 57 recorded crimes to 50.

Yarriambiack LGA
This year's data revealed a 10 per cent decrease in crimes recorded for Yarriambiack.
Crimes recorded dropped from 514 to 459 offences.
The most common crime recorded, the Breach of family Violence order, increased from the previous year, from 36 to 58 offences.
The most common location was the home, with 182 recorded, which decreased from the 248 crimes last year.
Crimes recorded from the front yard decreased from 26 to 10.
Warracknabeal (191), Murtoa (58) and Rupanyup (31) all saw a decrease in crimes recorded, while Minyip (45) and Hopetoun (31) saw an increase.
West Wimmera LGA
Like Yarriambiack, West Wimmera municipality saw a drop in crimes recorded; crimes recorded last year were 181, and this year was 167.
Unlike the other municipalities, West Wimmera's most common crime was sexual assault, which increased from 22 to 30 offences.
Crimes in houses dropped from 61 to 50 offences.
Harrow was the only location to see an increase in offences from 1 in the previous year's data to nine violations in this year's data.
