Rainbow Silo Art Reimagined project will feature an internal mural inside the silo, with a spiral staircase and elevator to the top for a viewing platform. A flat exterior face of the silo will also be utilised for projections.
The idea is a departure from other silos on the trail, which feature a separate area to view artworks painted on the exterior of silos.
Silo owner Llew Schilling pushed for the idea of using the unused silo as a tourist attraction for Rainbow.

For the past two years Mr Schilling and Hindmarsh council developed concepts for the silo and leveraged support for the project with agencies such as Visit Victoria.
The project was developed and funded as part of the Victorian government's $4.9 million Mallee Silo Art Trail program.
Hindmarsh Shire Council has agreed to a long-term lease contract with Mr Schilling for the project and ongoing tourist attraction.
Hindmarsh council chief executive Greg Wood said the project will be a significant piece of tourism infrastructure for the region.
"This project launches a new and unique aspect to the Silo Art Trail and, combined with the Albacutya Silo Art, will make Rainbow a centerpiece of the silo art touring route," he said.
