The all-rounder is one of the 26-players named in the squad, which will commence training in August under the guidance of Victoria's high-performance coaching staff with support from current Victorian players.
From the training sessions, a team will then be finalised to represent Vic Country at the National Championships in Canberra in January.
Baker-Miller said she was "really happy and excited" by the news.
"It came as a total surprise, I am away at the moment and Mum just tagged me in the Facebook post," Baker-Miller laughed.

"I'm just really grateful for the opportunity."
Western Waves coach Grace Lee, who has coached Baker-Miller for the past three seasons, has witnessed the all-rounder's development first hand.
"She (Baker-Miller) got in the Waves as a real bottom age player," Lee said.
"(She's) a leader of the group, a strong batter and developed her bowling and fielding as well.
"Her understanding of the game has definitely developed in the last couple of years to understand fielding placements and why we bowl in certain areas and everything like that."
Along with Vic Country training, the upcoming season looms as a big one for the talented teen who boards at Hamilton Alexandra College.
"I'm really excited for the coming season," Baker-Miller said.
"It's shaping up to be really busy with club and school cricket plus I'm planning to play in the women's comp in Hamilton this year.
"(I) also really hope to play some premier grade in Melbourne as well. I'm up for it but it's a lot of travel so I might have to be extra nice to Mum and Dad!"
MORE NEWS:
If all goes to plan Baker-Miller hopes to be padding up for the Vic Country side in January.
"There's absolutely fierce competition in that Vic country squad and so much talent so I don't want to think too far ahead but obviously Canberra in January is my goal and I'll be working hard towards that," she said.
"Also I'd love to have a few cracks at premier grade this year."
At a local level, Baker-Miller has her sights set on making history.
"I must say a crack in A grade for HCA is also a goal I'm pretty set on! Not many girls or women have done that!"
