Close to 200 competitors were registered for the event which was cancelled just two days before its scheduled start because of Victoria's snap lockdown.
A disappointed Wimmera Kart Racing Club president Remo Luciani said the club is currently consulting with Karting Victoria about new dates for the event.

"Unfortunately what stops them from moving forward is the unknown and the aspect of which other meetings are going to be cancelled and what needs to be shuffled around," Luciani said.
"So at this stage, it's still very difficult to give us a specific date because we've got no clarity on when things open up."
The event's last-minute cancellation meant the club took a significant financial hit.
"Unfortunately small clubs like us, (we lost) some perishables which were delivered because it wasn't done until Thursday at 5 pm when we were told," Luciani said.
"It really hurts little clubs like us. The amount of money we have spent and we obviously didn't get to use (the purchases) so, unfortunately, there is a cost you will never recover.
"It's terrible for a little club like us. Especially with us trying to do a new track and we need every cent we can, it definitely puts us in financial difficulties for sure."
