IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's really exciting to see how we can deliver and plan and advocate for the plan objectives we've identified," she said.
The council engaged with the community by conducting an online survey and holding in-person community conversation sessions held around table discussions with councillors and officers.
Under the Local Government Act 2020, the plan must include a Health and Wellbeing Plan and Community Vision 2040.
The Health and Wellbeing Plan will focus on four key areas: Healthy Eating, Active Living, Social Connectivity and Improving Mental Health.
The plan was prepared as a living document that will be reviewed and updated annually.
The Council Plan will now be open for community feedback via public submissions from Monday, August 9 to Friday, September 10.
Councillor Wendy Bywaters said the council look forward to hearing from the community.
"We really do welcome public submissions," she said.
The council must adopt the plan by October 31.
