It will be Blake's first taste of senior coaching, while Burke has extensive coaching experience, having first coached Horsham to a flag in 2014, before taking the helm of North Ballarat City in 2016 and 2017.
Burke said the plan had been in the works for a long time.
"It's been in the pipeline for a while. I'd made up my mind that I was going to do it again," Burke said.
"The plan that we had in place, to get Tyler into a joint position and get him going, has been activated."

With the succession plan in place, Burke was pleased with where the club was heading.
"We've got a big future ahead of us, and we're looking forward to it," he said.
Blake is confident the first time senior coach Blake will flourish in his new role.
"He'll be awesome this year as an assistant coach, he's just taken on more and more responsibility. He'll be fine, that's why we've got him in," he said.
Blake said he was looking forward to the challenge of coaching, and that the step up was an easy decision.
"I'm looking forward to it; we've got an exciting list coming through. It was a pretty easy decision in the end (to sign up to coach)," Blake said.
"I've got a passion for the club, and I'm looking forward to keep that going.

"Jordy's been a great role model for me as an assistant coach. I just feel comfortable stepping up, having him by my side leading the way."
According to Blake the time he has spent as an assistant coach under Burke was invaluable.
"It's been a great experience, to get a taste of what it's like but I've definitely still got a lot of growing to do within the role," he said.
Coaching has been a goal of Blake's ever since he returned to the Demons in 2020 and took on the assistant coaching role for 2021 after spending several years in Sydney.
"Coaching is something I thought I'd like to do one day. I didn't really think I'd be doing it next year or even the year after, but when I got the offer, I thought it would be great to start coaching at my home club," he said at the time.
The Demons will be looking to continue to build on the talents of their young side, with both 2022 coaches saying playing finals are a goal for next season.
