Four sessions will be run out of Horsham Neighbourhood House from 11am to 3pm starting on Thursday, August 19.

These vaccination sessions are focused on helping vulnerable groups get vaccinated.

There will be four in total, one on Thursday, August 19, Thursday, September 2, Thursday, September 9 and Thursday, September 23.

The sessions had been coordinated by Wimmera Health Care Group and Grampians Community Health.

One of the project coordinators, Grampians Community Health's manager for High Risk Accommodation Response Program Mia Fraser said they wanted to support high risk people getting their COVID-19 vaccines.

"People who live in community housing, caravan parks, rooming houses and department of housing properties can come and get vaccinated," she said.

"We've had really great feedback, a lot of people are happy they don't have to commit to an appointment and they can pop in at a safe space."

Carers are also welcome to the sessions.

Wimmera Health Care Group's vaccination project officer Genevieve Lilley said the goal was for all of western Victoria vaccinated.

"We want to make sure everyone in our community gets the chance to get the vaccine," Ms Lilley said.

"And are offered the vaccine in a place that feels safe for them to go to."

Horsham Neighbourhood House manager Charlie Helyar said the vaccination clinic reinforced the importance of a safe community space.

"The house is happy to work alongside Wimmera Health Care Group and Grampians Community Health on this important project to help people in our community get vaccinated," Mr Helyar said.

"The House is a safe place for all community members."

Ms Lilley said they hoped to offer similar programs at other Neighbourhood houses in the region.

"We need people on the ground in other towns," she said.

"We want to make it easier for people to get vaccinated."

Grampians Community Health had dropped off information cards around the Wimmera to inform people about the sessions.

Each session is at Horsham Neighbourhood House, located at 13-15 Robin street Horsham and each session includes a free sausage sizzle.

There will also be a mental health nurse on site to help support participants.
