Fellow Horsham members, Bev Shalders, Marlene Schmidt and Branch president, Robyn Abbey brought their items to be taken to Ararat too, including some nice pieces for the raffle.
Horsham Branch president Robyn Abbey said the exhibition is a time of excellence as well as socialisation.
"It will be extraordinary," Ms Abbey said.
"A lot of ladies have put a lot of work in especially with last year cancelled.
"We're really looking forward to this."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Ms Abbey said even without the Melbourne-based ladies at the exhibition, at least their crafts are.
Bev Shalders said she wasn't able to enter anything this year due to lockdowns.
"I couldn't go the the frame shops," she said.
"I embroider and china paint normally."
This years theme for crafts was 'Influenced by Leaves' and for food, 'Inspiration by Leaves.'
Narelle baked a native food baklava, she used wattle seed and lemon aspen. The baklava will displayed on a bed of lemon scented gum leaves.
"This is our second go, a second attempt," Ms Hanrahan said.
"But women who haven't seen each other for a long time will get to see each other and socialisation is so important.
"It's how we survive, how we connect. It's not just out local community, it's all our CWA members."
The CWA State Craft Exhibition and Ararat Sock Festival opened on Friday, August 20.
The exhibition ran from Friday, August 20 to Saturday, August 21 at the Ararat Town Hall.
