The grants look to support businesses in the shire undertake small or large projects, such as upskilling of employees, expanding commercial premises', moving a business to Hindmarsh Shire, or repairs and maintenance.
Hindmarsh Shire Council mayor Ron Ismay said the revised grants program was flexible in order to meet the needs of businesses suffering as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Because of the new criteria, council strongly encourages business owners to review the guidelines and criteria to determine their eligibility and to contact council staff who will be happy to assist with any queries they may have prior to submitting an application," he said.
Round One of the Business Assistance Grants Program will close at 5.00pm Friday 17 September 2021.
Business Assistance Grant application forms are available on council's website www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au.
