The Bombers needed to respond after their demoralising 91-point loss in the 2019 grand final to Harrow-Balmoral and boy did they do just that. The side cruised to the minor premiership, going unbeaten from their 12 games, including a one-point win over the Roos in the grand final rematch.
Speaking to The Wimmera Mail-Times, Bombers' coach Gareth Hose was very pleased with his sides on-field performances and their ability to contribute as a "team".

"I'm rapt that we were able to perform the way we did against the opposition that we were up against," Hose said.
"We haven't really relied on one to five players as such. We've really played well as a team.
"We've also had 33 different players play through our senior team throughout the year, so it's been pleasing that we've got that depth there and the guys that have had to step up, have done the job."
Ahead of 2021, the Bombers were shrewd in their recruiting, adding quality players like Damian Cameron, Dawson Cross and Thomas Magee to their list. Those three recruits in particular had a substantial on-field impact over the year.
"All our recruits added their various strengths to our side which has been fantastic. I've been very happy with what they've brought," Hose said.
"I actually just think there's been a general improvement across the board from all our players. They've been really committed to trying to chase that ultimate success."
2022 and beyond looks bright for the Bombers; their list is blessed with youth, with a high percentage of their senior players yet to reach 20-years-old.
Our young guys who probably aren't referred to as young anymore, but they're still all under 20 years old so we've got heaps of those types of players that have moulded themselves in a
"Throughout the year generally most weeks in our team we've had 10 to 12 players that are under the age of 20 so we've still got a fair bit of youth in our side," Hose said.
"Hopefully they all want to stick around and continue on."
