A total of $11,277,565 has been paid to the 12 councils in the Mallee, on top of earlier allocations in June totalling $44,565,310.
In the region, Horsham Rural City Council will receive $826,922, Hindmarsh Shire Council will receive $623,986, Yarriambiack Shire Council will receive $731,099, and West Wimmera Shire Council will receive $827,202.
Horsham Rural City Council mayor Robyn Gulline thanked the federal government for the grant funding, which she said was vital to delivering services and infrastructure in the region.
"We always welcome grant funding from both higher tiers of government. The best way we can support our residents is from access to grant funding that helps us deliver the services and infrastructure that our residents both need and deserve," she said.

Elsewhere, the Northern Grampians Shire Council will receive $1,063,945 and Ararat City Council will receive $806,529.
Federal Member for Mallee, Anne Webster said the funding was untied, allowing councils to spend the grant according to their own local priorities.
"Local governments are vital to building safer and stronger communities," Dr Webster said.
"They are an important delivery partner for the Federal Government's economic stimulus packages and play a critical role in our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These payments will allow councils to continue delivery the vital services and infrastructure projects that they do so well."
Since 1974-75, the Australian Government has provided local governments with almost $60 billion in untied funding through the Financial Assistance Grants program.
