Communities of Respect and Equality is an alliance of organisations, businesses and clubs, created by Women's Health Grampians.
Member organisations of the group commit to the Regional Plan to Prevent Violence Against Women and their Children, which provides a vision for safe, equal and respectful communities in the Grampians region.
The foundations of the strategy remain the same, but with new initiatives, focus areas and emerging priorities incorporated through the next four years.

Hindmarsh Shire chief executive Greg Wood said the second iteration of the Communities of Respect and Equality strategy had come at an opportune time, as council was in the process of implementing the requirements of the Gender Act 2020.
"We are excited to implement changes in the organisation and in the broader community to help reduce violence against women and children," he said.
"Violence against women and children is a significant issue in our community and as a Council we have a responsibility to be doing what we can to prevent it."
