Murtoa College principal Tony Goodwin said extending the tutoring program is "massive" for students.
The Victorian Government tutor program ran in 2021 to support students and on Monday, October 4 announced the program will be extended throughout 2022.
Mr Goodwin said 65 out of the college's 267 students have worked with tutors with remarkable outcomes.
"We had the funding this year and we've got the funding to continue next year," he said.

"It's just common sense, and it's had a major impact.
"It will be a very positive thing for students that have spent a lot of time at home and not at school."
Mr Goodwin said they'll most likely follow a similar process next year to how they went this year.
"Our tutor program this year has involved 65 of those students from grade 4 through to year 10 in literacy and numeracy," he said.
"The engagement has been really positive."
$230.4 million will be put towards the program, the most significant boost to individual learning support in Victoria.
Small schools will also see their funding allocation increased from a minimum of $15,000 to $25,000 per school - allowing them to hire more support for their students after the challenges of 2021.
"There's no question that this pandemic has been a challenge for many students - but we're making sure no Victorian child is left behind, with thousands of dedicated tutors to make sure everyone can catch up and prepare for a much better 2022," Minister for Education James Merlino said.
