The health service was successful in its two funding applications for round five of the Rural and Regional Health Infrastructure program.
A $547,320 operating theatre equipment upgrade project will allow the health service to purchase two new sterilisers, an operating theatre table and key central sterilising and supply department equipment.

The second stage of the $1.39 million Nhill Hospital redevelopment project was also funded - allowing redevelopment of the hospital's staff dining room and lounge, chef's office, linen room, and storage building.
West Wimmera Health Service acting chief executive Darren Welsh said the service was grateful to receive funding for the two key projects.
"The service is committed to continuing the high standard of infrastructure that we have across our campuses, and these two projects were key to replace out of date infrastructure and equipment," he said.
"We are extremely grateful for the support of the Victorian government for these two projects."
