Club stalwart Travis Mackley has been announced as president after three years on the committee.
Mackley said he thought he would "have a crack" after Tammy McDonald stepped down as club president after three years in the position.
"Tammy (McDonald) was stepping down so a few of them told me to do it," he said.
"They got the better of me and I thought I could have a crack at it."
OTHER NEWS:
Mackley said he felt honoured to take on the role of president.
"I have always been involved with the club," he said.
"Whether that be junior coach, reserves coach, football director, chairman of selectors and now Auskick coach for the last four years.
"Last year I was actually awarded life membership at the club.
"We're a good family club.
"You could call the club home for me."
Mackley said the club is excited for two-time premiership player Andrew Cameron to join the club, among other recruits from the region.
"We have picked up Andrew Cameron, which is great," he said.
"I think he has kicked a few goals, it's an improvement for the club.
"We are also waiting on some more announcements this week.
"We have signed pretty much half of our core senior group up."
Mackley said he expects the club to continue to be competitive next season, while rebuilding.

"The senior boys are on track with everything," he said.
"Our main aim next season is to be competitive like we have been instead of being belted like we had been in previous years.
"We lost four or five games within five or six goals, which was great for the club and the spectator side of things.
Mackley said the club has planned to put in the hard yards to reap the rewards in future seasons.
"There is no point buying a premiership, you have to earn a premiership," he said.
"It just takes a lot of hard work.
"I think the last couple years have been pretty tough on a lot of clubs with COVID-19 and player retention.
"We are just sneaking along and rebuilding.
"With our juniors we have a plan in place for the next four or five years.
"Where we want to be and how we are going to get there."
Mackley said the club is committed to entering a side in every division next season.
"Our biggest priority is to get our under 17s and our A Grade netball up and running," he said.
"Last year we didn't enter those teams.
"We are definitely going to be focusing on the junior side of things, because that is your future.
"Our under 14s are strong, they have got plenty of numbers but they are all bottom age.
"We have got to try and get our under 17 boys back together.
"Four years ago they were a premiership side and then we lost a couple good players to the Wimmera league and then it all just vanished, but we are trying to get them back.
Mackley said the club's annual Christmas gathering is on track for December.
"Every year we try to have a Christmas football netball club gathering for the players to meet the coaches," he said.
"With COVID-19 it is up in the air as to what we can and can't do.
"At this stage it is looking okay, fingers crossed."
