Regional Arts Victoria will host a series of Community Conversations about specific areas of interest and expertise at Horsham Town Hall between Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11 November.
Shana Miatke, Horsham Rural City Council's Creative Services and Events Lead is excited to be hosting the series of discussions at the Horsham Town Hall.
"These discussions will provide the Horsham community an opportunity to meet in-person to discuss ideas and opportunities that will help inform the development of Horsham Rural City Council's new Creative Horsham Plan," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
As Victoria's peak regional arts body and appointed Consultant on Creative Horsham, RAV will use its extensive networks to engage a range of guest speakers in their field to inform the community gatherings.
Joe Toohey, Executive Director of RAV, explained the format for the conversations.
"Each conversation is based on a specific focus area and supported by key experts that are considered leading organisations in their field of expertise. It's an excellent opportunity to re-connect with each-other, network and get creative around a common theme," Mr Toohey said.
"Confirmed speakers include guests from the Wall-to-Wall Festival (Benalla), Multicultural Arts Victoria, Writers Victoria, Music Victoria, Arts Access Victoria, The Push, Creative Victoria and Theatre Network Australia, with more to be announced."
Staff from RAV will join the sessions in person in Horsham, with guests dialling-in from across the country to guide each conversation.
