Mr Wilson also described the way in which GWMWater keeps water in the most efficient locations and tracks evaporation.
Since 1997, the Grampians region has seen a 60 per cent decrease in water inflows, which Mr Wilson said has made the job of water preservation all the more crucial.
He also looked at how costs are managed by GWMWater, and where most of the money has been spent in water resource management.
Let's Talk Water will be posted to GWMWater's Facebook page - as well as appear in the corporation's weekly newsletter.
