Each week, the Mail-Times catches up with players of all different sporting codes across the region.
This week, the Mail-Times had a chat with Horsham Lawn Tennis Club's Mitchell Fromm.
What do you love about playing tennis? I just love being outdoors and getting a chance to compete and improve myself. It gives me something to take my mind off the working week.
Who's your favourite tennis player and why? My favourite tennis player is actually Novak Djokovic which is controversial. I try to play a pretty similar style of game to him; focusing on getting the ball back over the net as much as I can until my opponent makes a mistake. I just think he (Djokovic) does that better than anyone else in the world. I don't stand with him on the anti-vax stuff, but he knows his tennis.

What's your best shot and why? Sadly it's the lob. All my shots are very loopy, my lob just seems to work very well. On grass especially, if your opponent comes right up to the net and you hit it over their head, you've pretty much won the point.
What do you love about playing for your club? I used to play on black tar courts back where I'm from originally, so lawn's a very big upgrade. It's just much nicer to play on. I'm originally from South Australia, which is a far cry from where we are now. It's luxury. I never got to play on lawn growing up so it's a real treat to be able to play on it.
