For the two weeks either side of Remembrance day, the grave sites of the town's servicemen will be adorned with Australian flags, in tribute to the sacrifices they made.
Goroke War Memorial committee member Marion Major organised the display, which involved the efforts of many of the town's community groups.
Funding for the display was applied for by the war memorial committee; the Goroke Apex Club contributed a grant, the Goroke Lions Club fixed the flag sleeves to the grave sites, and students from Goroke P-12 School placed the flags at the graves.

Ms Major said the collaborative effort was inspired by a similar display at a cemetery in Colac.
"Three years ago I had a friend in Colac who went to the cemetery to visit her brother's grave, around this time of the year," she said.
"She took a photo of all of the flags flying at the Colac cemetery and said 'Marion this is your next project'."
Before working on the flag display, Ms Major had been putting together a collection of profiles and photos of the town's servicemen to feature in the Goroke Hall.
She said the display paid respects to past servicemen, such as her three great uncles, who served in World War I.
"I had three great uncles that served in the war. One actually went back to fight in World War II as well. They came back back but they weren't the same.
"I am in my 60s, and I have lived my life in relative freedom and I have not had to go to war. So I took on board the flags and looked into what government grants were available.
"It is to commemorate those in our local area who fought for our freedom. It is a mark of respect."
Goroke P-12 School principal Dee Kearsley said she was amazed with how the display looked, and proud of the students for putting it together.
"The kids went around and had a plan of what graves to put them on," she said.
"It is absolutely fantastic for the town, when people drive into Goroke it is a real stand out.
"A real credit to the organisers and so positive for the town."
