Although students jumped at the chance to dress up after being locked down when Book Week is traditionally held, the day's festivities were limited by having pupils parade in front of parents and guardians in cars.
Haven Primary School Campus manager Craig Amos said the day went off without a hitch.
"Our Book Week dress up day is always a fantastic way to celebrate reading and literature at our school," he said.
"We are always blown away by the costumes that students and families put together.

"Having the parents share the Book Week parade with us makes the event so special."
Organised annually by the Children's Book Council of Australia, Book Week celebrates the importance of reading.
2021 also marked the 75th anniversary of Book Week.
