The 38-year-old man pleaded guilty to assault charges at Horsham Magistrates' Court on Monday.
On March 11, 2021, at about 9pm, the man was engaged in an argument with his partner; to end the exchange, the partner went to bed.
Around one hour after the argument, the man entered the bedroom and grabbed the victim by the feet, dragging them out of bed.
He then grabbed and squeezed the woman by her jaw.

The two then argued further after the man believed the woman had taken out her phone to record him and briefly began to wrestle her to take her phone away.
The next day the woman told a friend in South Australia about the incident, who then contacted the police.
The woman sustained carpet burns and a swollen neck from the assault.
Defence counsel Heidi Keighran told the court the man had since undertaken several men's behavioural programs - however, he had a prior history with similar offences.

Magistrate Tim Walsh reprimanded the man for his behaviour and said he would have imposed a prison term if not for the rehabilitation undertaken following the assault.
"It seems that this is the second time you have assaulted a woman. This is completely unacceptable. It is not on," Mr Walsh said.
"Given all of the steps you have taken however, it seems the penny may have dropped with you."
The man was convicted and placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond requiring 60 hours of unpaid community work.
