Jacob Hanson, 27, and Alanna Coles, 32, appeared at Horsham Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 22, where they pleaded guilty to charges of unlawful assault.
The court heard that between 9-10am on January 31, 2019, Hanson and Coles, who were living in Horsham at the time, were using the Horsham McDonald's drive-through when the incident occurred.
Coles recognised the worker handing them food through the service window and began to verbally abuse the worker, who was known to the pair.

The worker closed the service window soon after the incident and returned to work duties.
Hanson and Coles parked at the store and entered, standing in front of the service counter and yelling further abuse at the worker.
The court was told Hanson then walked past the service counter and yelled at the worker, threatening to kill them.

After the worker finished their rostered shift, they reported the incident to police, who arrested and interviewed Coles on February 1, and Hanson on February 2.
The pair made partial admissions but denied they had threatened to kill the victim.
The court was told that since the incident, the two had moved to Queensland.
Both Hanson and Coles were fined $250 without recording a conviction.
