YARRIAMBIACK Shire Council will use the most recent round of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Fund to maintain roads.

In the third round, it was announced Yarriambiack Shire would receive $2.65 million in addition to two previous rounds where the shire received a total of $2.36 million combined.
"It was officially announced yesterday, so perfect timing for us to bringing this to council for hearing today," chief executive officer Jessie Holmes said.
The bulk of the funds, $2.5 million, will be spent road maintenance via asset renewal.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It is recommended that $2,089 million be allocated specifically for road projects as determined by the asset management principles of condition, safety and usage," Ms Holmes said.
Over a quarter of a million will be allocated for footpaths.
These will be footpaths for Woolcock, Lyle, Scott and Jamouneau streets in Warracknabeal, Austin street in Hopetoun and Lake street in Murtoa.
An allocation of $240,000 at will be made for drainage at Byrne Street in Yaapeet and Duncan Street in Murtoa.
Council also endorsed that $56,501 from Round 2 designated for Murtoa Rabl Park be allocated to renewal and maintenance of our Road Network.
