In the open men's division it was the Wimmera-Mallee side who got the chocolates over their Horsham counterparts.
Batting first at Brim, Wimmera-Mallee compiled a healthy 141 before being dismissed after 46 overs.
READ MORE:
Riley Doran top-scored for the batting side with 38 and was aided by handy contributions from Isaac McPherson (21) and Christopher McPherson (28).
The Horsham bowlers stuck to their plans and were able to take consistent wickets, led by Nathan Alexander (3-27) and Lachlan Weidemann (3-30).
In reply, Horsham started off well to be 2-48 after Alexander followed up his good work with the ball to be dismissed for a well-played 25.
Unfortunately for Horsham that's as good as it got as they went on to lose 8-42 to be all out for 90 from 20 overs.
Jacob Patching was the Wimmera-Mallee bowler responsible for the destruction, taking the sublime figures of 7-41.
Daniel Schaper displayed some resistance for Horsham, chiming in with 17 at number 9, but when he was dismissed with 52 two runs needed to win it was always going to be a bridge too far.
MORE NEWS:
Playing at City Oval the Horsham Over 40s side proved too good for Hamilton Gold.
Sent into bat by the visitors, Horsham finished all out for 197 from 38.4 overs.
Rowan Scott was the star of the show for the home side hitting a composed 70 bating first drop, while Martyn Knight also struck them well on his way to 40.
Anthony Read was the best of the Hamilton bowlers, snaring 4-34 after opening the bowling.
In response, there were plenty of starts among the Hamilton batters, however no one was able to score more than Tony Dumesny's 34.
That ultimately proved costly as the side was dismissed for 161, 36 runs short of Horsham's total.
Adam Carter did most of the damage for Horsham capturing 4-25 which included three of the top-five batters.
Martyn Knight and Ash Hopper both chipped in with two wickets apiece.
