Ahead of the Horsham Hornets Country Basketball League campaigns which began on November 28 for the men and November 27 for the women, The Wimmera Mail-Times did a series of Q&As with the players.
In our next women's Q&A get to know a bit about Jessica Cannane.
What's your favourite movie of all time?
Good question, you've got me there. I'm going to go Million Dollar Baby. I love a bit of boxing. I am a bit of a Rocky fan and I've been up the stairs as well in Philly.

Are you binging anything at the moment on any streaming services?
Pretty much just Chicago Fire at the moment. It's very good. Firefighters - what more do you want really?
Who is your favourite basketballer of all time?
You cant really go past Michael Jordan really. Let's be honest, I'm a vintage girl.
Who's better, LeBron or Michael Jordan?
MJ all the way, I can't really jump ship now.
Who is your favourite Horsham Hornet of all time?
Probably only because I grew up with the guys, Tim Pickert and Cam Bruce.
What do you love about playing basketball?
I think just really being in this team environment and the fact that we've got ten girls running around, getting around each other, it's really good. And I like the physicality that you can get away with.

- Jess Cannane on what she loves about playing basketball.
Who is your funniest teammate?
I'd probably have to go Nekaela Butler. they're just little sly comments and they're very, very classic and very dry. She doesn't say much but when she does you're like, yeah I'll pay that.
What is your go to comfort food or guilty pleasure?
I'm a big pizza fan at the moment.
What is your best on-court basketball attribute?
Probably my defence and my ability to talk. We'll go with some years of experience, being the oldest in the team.
Who would win in a fight, a crab or a rat?
I reckon I'd go crab.
