Brigade captain Ash Wallace said support for the project came from a large and varied mix of individuals and community groups - including some special non-cash donations.
"Donations have come in a range of sizes and in some cases with quid pro quo attached," he said.
"In one case, a local identity made a very generous donation on the condition that one of our brigade members committed to regular training sessions rowing on the Wimmera River with them."
There were many notable donations, including a contribution of $15,000 from the Dimboola Community Cropping Group, and the donation of a large, four-bay storage shed by the Ahrens Group.

Brigade secretary Kylie Kuhne said she wished to acknowledge everyone who contributed to the fundraising campaign, regardless of donation size.
"We have received a number of large donations and we are equally appreciative of all of the amazing contributions from people who have donated as much as they can during a tough period," she said.
"In the current times, all of these contributions are so incredible and the brigade wishes to sincerely acknowledge and thank all of those who have responded to the fundraising campaign thus far."
In addition to the contributions from businesses and the community, the brigade has also successfully applied for funding through the CFA Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment program.
The program will provide the Dimboola brigade with additional support towards a larger motor-room space and construction of a rear storage shed.
The brigade also successfully applied for Hindmarsh Shire's Community Action grants, which will support the addition of a large screen television to the meeting room of the new station.
Fundraising for the new fire station will continue and contributions can be made through the Dimboola branch of the Bendigo Bank.
Further details can be found on the Dimboola Urban Fire Brigade's Facebook page.
Anonymous donations can also be made into donation helmets located at Dimboola's Victoria Hotel, the Dimboola Store and Dimboola Stockfeed and Produce.
