The $250 Power Saving Bonus is a rebate for Victorian electricity account holders who have a Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card or receive a Centrelink or Department of Veterans Affairs pension or JobSeeker, Youth Allowance, Austudy or Abstudy payment.
Horsham Neighbourhood House has helped hundreds of people get this rebate; however the rebate application will close on January 31.
Member for Lowan Emma Kealy wanted to ensure all people who are eligible for rebate get their application in so people do not miss out.

"The program is open now and is available until 31 January 2022 and I encourage everyone who holds an eligible concession card to apply," she said.
Horsham Neighbourhood House provide an outreach service to assist people with their applications. Contact the house by dropping in at 13 Robin Street, Horsham, by email via info@horshamcommunityhouse.org or telephone 5382 5352.
Horsham Neighbourhood House manager Charlie Helyar said he had over 300 people recieve the rebate with assistance through the house.
"Horsham Neighbourhood House is happy for people to make appointments to apply for the Victorian Power Saving Bonus," he said.
"You need to be on an eligible Centrelink payment, have a concession card and power bill in your name.
"Get in and apply before it closes at the end of January."
Applications can be made online by visiting compare.energy.vic.gov.au. Applicants will need an emailed copy of their bill from their provider, or the Nationals Metering Identifier (NMA) as stated on their electricity bill (a 10-or-11 digit number).
Payments are made via an electronic funds transfer into the customers designated bank account, usually within two to three weeks of submission.
Ms Kealy said that anyone having trouble with their application or who do not have access to the internet can utilised the Brotherhood of St Laurence's Energy Assistance Program by calling 1800 830 029.
"It only takes about five minutes to apply, but if you have any difficulty, call my office on 5382 0097 for assistance," Ms Kealy said.
