Hornets stalwart Matt Lovel told the Wimmera Mail-Times that the victory over the Seahawks was an "awesome win".
"To win like that was impressive," Lovel said.
"We just played our own game. We ran the ball, we got the ball through hands and we just made the right decisions and that's what gets you the win in the end.
"They're a big side, so you're bumping up against big bodies and sometimes that tires you out during the game but our fitness shone through in the end."
Round seven is a bye for the Hornets, before they host Portland in round eight for their final regular season game.
MORE NEWS:
Lovel is pleased with the way his side are playing with finals on the horizon.
"We had a reasonable game last night and to beat a quality team like Warrnambool it just sets you up," he said.
"If you're coming good at the end of the year coming into finals, that sets you up really well."
