Twenty-five students in grades three to six are part of the Junior Red Cross.
The group, now in its eighth year, co-ordinates fundraisers such as craft stalls to raise money for the nationwide foundation.
Students help out wherever they can, with teacher support.
Junior Red Cross co-ordinator June Cooke said the group’s major fundraiser each year was a morning tea prior to Mother’s Day.
“This is hosted by a group of students who have strong beliefs in making the world a better place,” she said.
“This is a great time for families and teachers to get together and catch up with all of the students for a great cause.”
Mrs Cooke said Horsham’s Kim Drummond, a long-time supporter of the group, presented students with badges this week to recognise their work.
Mrs Drummond also has children at the school.
Mrs Cooke said the Junior Red Cross group was planning more fundraisers for throughout the year.
