At the Royal Melbourne Agricultural Show recently, the Country Women’s Association broke its previous show scone record with an amazing total of 15,015 scones sold.
Congratulations especially to chief scone cook Joy Davis and the other scone cooks who helped set this record.
Looking through the daily scone tally board, the busiest day for baking and selling was November 28 with 1767 scones baked.
On average, the daily quota was around 1364 per day.
That's a lot of flour girls!
