Edenhope's Sacha McDonald and Horsham's Maggie Caris were among 15 players chosen in the squad to represent Victoria in the week-long tournament.
Both players say they are proud to have been selected in the squad, but acknowledge there's still work to be done before the squad is whittled down and team selection is finalised in August.
"It's really exciting. It's only the squad, so there's still team selections but I'm really excited to be named amongst the group," Caris said.
"It's an exciting time. I think (the announcement) was a little bit delayed because of COVID and the lockdown, but I'm keen to get stuck into it," McDonald said.

McDonald, who is a Melbourne Vixens squad member and captained the 19/U Fury squad in 2019, said she's looking to assert herself more in the 2021 competition.
"I think I've gotten to the point where I want to be a bit more dominant."
"I've had those years under my belt to learn and extract things from the coaches and different players... but I think now it's my time to get out of that mindset and really dominate out on court."
The ANC has replaced the Australian Netball League and will be played in a tournament-style format.
The championships will take place in Taralgon, which Caris said is a bonus.

"It'll be nice to have it around Victoria. People can see top tier players, and families and friends can see the girls play," Caris said.
McDonald said the new style of competition is going to be very different than previous years.
"Usually we prepare a lot earlier because it's a season, but after last year was completely cancelled they've transformed it into a new style of competition as a championship at the end of the year."
"It's going to look very, very different than it has, but I think the new style is going to be really exciting," she said.
Both players have three to four weeks of squad training to impress the selectors and be selected in the final team.
The Australian Netball Championships will be played between September 11-19 2021.
