Vaccine recipient Sarah Magor was surprised with flowers and cheers at Lister House's Up Tempo vaccination centre while waiting to get the jab.
"I'm surprised. I'm very happy about it. It's great to see so many in the community stepping up and getting their vaccinations," she said.
"I never win anything. This is lovely."
Lister House Clinic chief executive Amanda Wilson said she was amazed by the Wimmera's strong uptake of the vaccine.

"The community has understood their responsibility in the bigger picture, and people have certainly rolled up their sleeves quite willingly," she said.
"People have been incredibly grateful and gracious, extremely kind and very supportive of our efforts. That has been really amazing.
"Nothing more than I would have expected from beautiful country people."
Ms Wilson said on a per capita basis, the Wimmera was performing exceptionally well, and hoped to see many more rolled up leaves in the future.
"When you look at our population in town, and we are doing those numbers, we are doing the same amount per day as Ballarat is doing. So that is incredibly impressive," she said.
"I know we have a population of about 50,000 in surrounding areas, so the work is not done yet. Even though I do know we have done a great amount, I don't want people to become complacent thinking 'a large amount of people have done it, we will be great now.
"The work is still there to be done, and I don't think people should leave it to others to do it. You have got to do your part of it and jump in and get it organised."
