Beth Officer lived in Torrito a small town in the Mallee before moving to Horsham. She was a valuable member of the Horsham Golf Club for many years before leaving to live in Queensland in 1981 with her husband Kevin and sons Brett, Mark and Dale. The whole family was involved with the Horsham Golf Club, and her father was also the greenkeeper many years ago.

Beth first joined the Committee in 1975, was Vice President in 1976-77 and Captain in 1979. During this time she was very active in helping out at coaching clinics for ladies along with life member Joyce Mills at the smaller Wimmera clubs, ably led by life member Maisie Phillips.
Beth donated a Cup on her departure in 1981 to be played annually as a Foursomes knockout which later became a Foursomes event. Later, this was then changed with her approval to a 4BBB Stableford.
Unfortunately, the original Trophy was lost in the Black Saturday fire on 7th February 2009. Beth kindly offered to replace the trophy after the fire.
