Although Murtoa's annual Big Weekend was cancelled, the committee organised a special event, reminiscent of Melbourne's White Night, which brought with it a much needed "spark" for the community of Murtoa and beyond.
Murtoa Big Weekend committee member Natashia Pietsch spoke to the Mail-Times and said everyone involved was thrilled with the result.
"It's provided a real buzz to the community," she said.
"The idea for a light show was a perfect solution to provide a spark for the community as well as being something for people to enjoy after being cooped up for so long with all these cancelled events."
