Coming up, the Australian Ballet School will grace the stages with a performance of a mixed program including Butterfly Suite.
This performance will be debuting regionally before heading to Melbourne stages.
Experience the beauty of elegant classical works alongside dynamic contemporary pieces that explore expression, connection and a new dawn. Including choreography by Simon Dow, Tim Harbour and Margaret Wilson, created especially for The Australian Ballet School.
This mixed program of short works is the perfect introduction for new audiences to sample ballet.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The program will include 25 minutes of Butterfly excerpts - a modern day fairy-tale told through movement that showcases 70 full-time students of The Australian Ballet School.
Choreographed by former graduate Lucas Jervies and designed to appeal to all ages, the original production will be brought to life by the extraordinary artistry of pre-professional dancers and transport audiences to another world with costumes by revered designer Hugh Colman.
Performers are just as keen to get on the stage as the community is to see them.
"After so many cancelled performances, our students have shown extraordinary commitment and are very excited to perform Butterfly Suite in regional Victoria," Director of The Australian Ballet School, Lisa Pavane said.
There will be one performance only at Horsham Town Hall on Wednesday, November 17.
