St Michaels hosted Drung South Orange, getting up in difficult, windy conditions 8 (77) - 4 (61).

There were some close tussles between the sides, with three of the ties finishing 8-6.

St Michael's Angela Nitschke and Chris Ellis were standouts for their side going unbeaten from their three rubbers.

Unfortunately, Barb Crough was injured for the home side and was replaced by Marlie Pymer for rubbers six and ten.

Pymer was a worthy replacement though going unbeaten in both rubbers.

Across to Drung on Saturday and the sun was out in full force as Horsham Lawn easily accounted for Drung South Purple 10 (89) - 2 (57).

After winning the first rubber the purple side's lead quickly dissipated, as Lawn went on to win the next nine.

Lawn's Tahlia Thompson, Lachlan Punchard, Gemma Walker and Cherie Wood were dominant going unbeaten from their three rubbers.

Dylan Emmerson picked up Drung South Purple's solitary singles victory.

In the final Pennant clash, Kalkee cemented their hold on the top spot at home, emerging victorious against Central Park 9 (76) - 3 (56).

The Kees started on fire racing away to a 4-0 lead. In the fifth rubber, Lance Dugan and Brendan Nitschke finally got Central Park on the board with a win in the doubles, however, the damage had already been done.

Kalkee went on to win five of the next seven rubbers although Lance Dugan's singles win in the 11th was a highlight for Central Park.

After four rounds Horsham Lawn and St Michael's (12 points each) sit in second and third, while Drung South Orange and Drung South Purple are below them on four points.

Central Park is still fighting for their first win but has their best chance in round five against Drung South Purple at Drung.

Round five also pits St Michael's against Kalkee, which looms as an entertaining battle, while Horsham Lawn comes up against Drung South Orange.

In the A Special division, there were a couple of close affairs that went down to the wire.

Homers' 7 (83) - 7 (74) victory over Telangatuk East was tight but the side's composure enabled them to triumph.

Connor Chivell and Steven Both were standouts for Homers winning all their rubbers, as did Telangatuk's Kayla Hawker.

Natimuk's 7 (88) - 7 (82) win over Horsham Lawn was an even closer contest. The margin never exceeded one set until Central Park's victory in the 12th rubber had them up by two sets with only two rubbers remaining.

Fortunately for Natimuk, Ashley Webb and Carl Sudholz prevailed 8-7 in their doubles tie, before Sudholz won again alongside Bethany Sudholz.

Ladder-leaders Horsham Gillespie had a big 10 (102) - 4(70) win over Brimpaen at Laharum.

Similarly, the remaining matches were comfortable wins for Kalkee and Horsham Lawn Thompson.

Horsham Lawn Gillespie and Natimuk sit first and second as the only undefeated teams left.

Down to A grade and Horsham Lawn Bardell flexed their muscle at the expense of Natimuk.

Bardell looked near invincible on their way to a 12-0 victory.

Central Park triumphed 7 (81) - 5 (62) over Homers and Haven defeated Drung South 9 (89) - 3 (53) in the other match.

Although they went down convincingly Drung had some nice passages of play especially in the doubles, where all three of their wins came.
