ANOTHER day of heavy storms has kept emergency services active in the region.
In the past 24 hours, the Horsham SES has reported 29 callouts related to fallen trees and property damage.
Elsewhere, 13 calls for assistance were made in St Arnaud and eight were made in Ballarat.
This comes as Powercor crews work to restore power to many towns across the region that experienced outages during the past two days' storms.
Powercor crews have restored power to about 30,000 customers across central, northern and western Victoria over the past 24 hours.
Damage was largely lightning-related, with crews required to replace damaged power poles and blown transformers.
Hard hit areas include Maryborough, Ararat, Edenhope, Mildura and parts of the Wimmera and Macedon Ranges.
As of 5pm on Thursday, there were about 3000 customers without power across the network.
EARLIER, Thursday:
Flooding in Hamilton Street had cars turning around after Horsham saw heavy rainfall on Thursday even.
Debris is strewn about Horsham's streets with many roadsides flooded due to overflowing gutters.
A car has been damaged and a powerline is down in Drummond Street due to a heavy brach falling during the storm.
Powecor is already on scene and blocking the road.
Council workers are already out and about collecting smaller, fallen tree branches.
A warning from SES that driving through flood waters is not safe.
EARLIER:
SINCE 4pm, SES have had 13 call outs to Horsham and surrounding areas.
A thunderstorm warning was issued for the area at around 5pm.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging, locally destructive winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in the Wimmera and parts of the Mallee and South West districts.
Locations which may be affected include Walpeup, Horsham, Stawell, Warracknabeal, and Ararat.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds over the next several hours.
A 93km/h gust was observed at Edenhope at 3:59pm, followed by 25.6mm of rainfall being recorded in the following 30 minutes.
A gust of 139kmh was recorded at Horsham at 4:45pm
The Wimmera Mail-Times also believe a flooding has occurred on Dooen Road.
