The awards are hosted by Animal and Plant Health Australia in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, and cover all types of farming operations.
Nominations will be assessed by a panel of judges looking at six farm biosecurity principles; farm input, people, vehicles and equipment, production practices, feral animals and weeds, and train, plan and record.
Plant Health Australia chief executive Sarah Corcoran said she looked forward to acknowledging proactive producers such as 2020's winners, KW Orchards and Templeton Ginger.
"Our 2020 winners are a great example of what it means to be a leader in your industry," she said.

"The way they not only handle biosecurity on their property but the way they put themselves and their practices on display to educate and encourage others is truly commendable.
"We are confident that we will find others this year doing a similar outstanding job who are also leaders in their industry."
Animal Health Australia chief executive Kathleen Plowman said she also anticipated 2021's cohort would impress.
"We had two exemplary winners in the livestock category last year," she said.
OTHER NEWS:
"Kia Ora Merino, who implemented seamless and strict biosecurity measures on-farm, supported by documentation and close monitoring from farm to product.
"And Seafarms group, who used farm-generated surveillance data for evidence-based decision-making and had fostered a culture of biosecurity responsibility with extensive biosecurity training for all staff."
Farms of any size can be nominated, from hobby-farmers to large commercial operations.
Friends, family members and neighbours are encouraged to nominate a producer they know at awe.gov.au/aba.
